No guarantee of fulfilling Rajasthan budget announcement

Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has announced big budget ahead of the polls scheduled later this year. This Rajasthan gov. budget emphasises on ₹8,000-crore loan waiver for farmers (one-time crop loan waiver up to ₹50,000 for small and marginal farmers, exemption of Lagaan on land and constitution of Rajasthan state Farmers Debt Relief Commission for settlement of crop loans on merit basis),  ₹650 crore tax relief and ₹44,135 crore expenditure on social and community schemes. But according to News18, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has reportedly said that fulfillment of the announced budget is not guaranteed. “People must trust BJP government’s track record,” Raje said. readmore@India

BJP Union Minister Giriraj Singh named in land grab case

An FIR against Giriraj Singh (BJP MP from Nawada and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) and 32 others has been lodged on 2nd Feb by the order of a Special SC&ST court as a Dalit resident, Ram Narain Prasad, from Asopur village Bihar, alleged that the accused grabbed his 2 acres and 6 decimal of land. “Following the court order, an FIR has been filed under the relevant sections of the IPC and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against all the 33 accused… an investigation is on,”, the SHO of Danapur police station in Patna district Sandeep Kumar Singh said.readmore@The Hindu

All families of a village in Arunachal Pradesh become 'Crorepati'

All 31 families of Bomja village in Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh have got more than crore as Defence Ministry has given ₹40 crore to acquire 200.056 acres of land. One family received ₹6.7 crore and another received ₹2.4 crore while other 29 families received ₹1.09 crore each. Students at Kochi school vacated after the ammonia leak


School students and residents of Kochi's Willingdon Island was evacuated on Saturday after ammonia gas leaked from a lorry stationed at the Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd (FACT) industrial plant. The ammonia leaked whereas it was being transferred from the plant to the lorry, reportedly because of the tanker's faulty nozzle. Andhra CM Niadu misses R-Day celebrations because of delayed flight at Abu Dhabi airport

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu missed the Republic Day celebrations in the state on Friday when his flight from Abu Dhabi was delayed because of fog. Smileys to substitute marks for Class 1 and 2 children in MP


The Madhya Pradesh Education Department has determined to substitute marks with smileys in the report  cards of Class 1 and 2 government college students. The pass targets to minimize stress brought on by using mother and father over marks.
