34-year-old Kerala lady claims, 1st to lead Islamic Friday prayers

A 34-year-old woman has led Jumu’ah, a Fri divine service of Muslims, in Malappuram in Kerala, claimed to be the first in the history of the country. Around eighty individuals gathered to attend the service performed by Jamitha, who is the general secretary of the society. traditionally, Muslim women are barred from leading the Friday prayers.readmore@TOI
